Prologue
Captain Rainbow Dash of the Shadowbolts stood at attention outside the grand throne room. She sighed softly keeping her face expressionless in front of the knights standing guard. She looked them up and down to look at their bright yellow and white tunics of Princess Celestia’s Solar Knights. One of them gave her a glare as Rainbow continued her expressionless gaze.
She heard a cough and looked down beside her to find her four year old daughter wiping her nose. Rainbow looked ahead thinking about the last two days. She had an argume

Ten Years Later
It was a beautiful spring morning in Canterlot Commons. Canterlot Commons is a huge square where the Canterlot Market was set up every morning. Not only was it filled with vendors every morning, it was also where the people celebrate during kingdom holidays. Merchants made deals, vendors call out for the people to buy their products, knights in the constable guard armor walk around, lazily watching the streets or the prostitutes winking to them, and young thieves pick pockets all they can without being caught.
Three cloaked strangers stood in the shadow of a building looking over the square. On

Punishments
"There, that's the last of them." Agate said with a grunt putting the last of the cider barrels into the cart with a sigh.
The troublemakers had worked hard with Master Big Mac, the Apple Clan's head apple merchant. When the three teens met up with the two vendors from earlier, the vendors were initially in shock. After the initial surprise at seeing the thieving children marched back to their stall unceremoniously had passed, the men made no attempt to hide their amusement, nor their contempt.
Big Mac told the two men to pack up their belongings, the teens wou

Bull's-Eye
Windy woke up and looked around to see all the servants were getting up and getting ready for work. Windy yawned, stretching her arms in the air and turned to the hammock next to her to find Pinkie's hammock was empty, Windy grabbed her dress tunic and pulled it on over her head and retched smelling the odor coming off of it. She had to either get a new one from the castle tailor or clean the one she had on. She grabbed her boots and pulled them on. She ran to the mirror hanging on the post by her hammock and used her hand to brush her short hair to make it look half decent then ran for the kitchens.

Heartbreaking News
It’s the third day of the Peace Council, the city of Canterlot is celebrating the defeat of Tirek and the reunion of the kingdoms. Canterlot Commons was filled with so many people from other nations or other villages celebrating. Celebrating with drinking, dancing, loving, and singing war ballads of old. A time when the kingdoms are at peace is a happy time for a change.
While the citizens of Equestria celebrate, the royals and knights of the kingdoms sit in the renovated throne room discussing politics, games, history, and even talks of marriages to some. Everything seemed to be going normal.

A Sad Goodbye
"Windy?" A voice called.
Windy jumped lifting her head up from her knees to look around her. She was still sitting in the gardens and the sky was turning dark. She looked up and was surprised to see Princess Twilight climbing up the hill towards her.
"Princess," Windy said quickly standing up and almost fell over. Her legs were numb from sitting in one place for too long. Twilight caught her before she fell over. Windy blushed as the feeling returned into her legs. "I'm sorry." Windy whispered sadly. Twilight stroked her hair away from her face as she helped her stand up straight. At Windy’s f

Separation Anxiety
When dinner service was over, Starchaser, Pan, Radiance, and Agate met up in the kitchen where Pinkie was finishing frosting the five cupcakes she made for the special occasion.
"There you go, kids." Pinkie exclaimed placing her frosting bag on the counter and slid the plate forward. Agate caught the plate smiling with glee seeing the perfectly made cupcakes. "I hope this will put that frown of Windy's upside down." She said smiling. Starchaser walked over to hug her, Pinkie smiled hugging her back.
"We hope so to, Mama." Starchaser said smili

Page Training
A peasant looked up hearing the sounds of horses approaching him. He looked up and watched as the two riders rode past him towards Canterlot Commons. Sunset pulled back her reins to slow her horse into a trot. Windy did the same following the unicorn to one of the numerous taverns in the city. Sunset dismounted her horse.
"Wait here." She ordered.
Windy nodded watching Sunset pull on her hood and entered the tavern. Windy sighed tapping her finger on the saddle horn waiting. She blinked and looked behind her. She stared at the tall castle and felt her heart break. On the rare occasion Windy left the

Warnings Ignored
Windy opened her eyes to find herself in some sort of tent. She looked to the left to find a cot with a bag of clothes. To her right she could see a weapons rack with spears, swords and shields. She looked down at herself to notice that she is wearing a set of armor, chain mail, and a blue tunic over the armor with a strange symbol that she didn’t recognize. What made her stare longer was the fact the symbol looked to be a blue cloud with a small gust decal of wind. No house symbol she recognized.
She looked up seeing what looked to be a man running towards her. She couldn't clearly focus on any d

The Crystal Empire
After the long dark venture through the caves, Windy blocked a ray of sunlight with her hand, blinded.
"Is that it?" She asked her voice echoing off the walls. Sunset smiled.
"It is." She replied.
Windy smiled as she urged her horse to trot forward past Flash and Sunset and out of the caves. She gasped closing her eyes from the bright sunlight and pulled back on the reins to stop Socks from running too far ahead. Once she was able to open her eyes she could see the grassy hills before her.
"Wow," She whispered standing up on the saddle to get a better look but couldn't see anythin
